Original Marx Construction Camp Play Set Hard Plastic First Version Earth Hauler with Moving Dump Bottom Louis Marx & Co. Circa 1954-1957. Made in USA. Hard plastic. Approx 6-3/8” long. Original – NOT a re-issue!This orange hard plastic bottom dump earth hauler was issued in the early 1954-57 Construction Camp Sets. It is 2-piece with a hinged dump bottom that can be opened by a lever. It was replaced after 1957 by a solid plastic one-piece version. T...he bottom door on this hauler has broken nubs on both ends of the door but the hinge holes that the nubs would have fit in are still intact. The pin nubs on this door were very fragile, probably the reason it was replaced by a solid bottom. The wheels are doubles, front and back, and are marked “MARX” and a square “MARX” logo is on the top, behind the driver. Except for the door, there are no other cracks or breaks.
