Vintage Fisher Price Wood Sports Car 674 Pink With Blue Trim 1958 - 1960 6 "
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:7511050 | Country/Region of Manufacture: United States |
Brand: FISHER PRICE | Year: 1958 |
This is a great toy from Fisher Price that was made between 1958 and 1960. This pink and blue one doesn't come up often for sale, and it is in better condition than many of the Fisher Price sports cars in general that do. The number 674 is on the front bumper. The car has a wood body and wood wheels, as well as wooden people in it. The top of the car, the bumpers, and the little people's hats are made out of plastic. It is about 6 inches long.
It is in good vintage condition for... a toy of this age. There are worn spots/chips in the paint, which are evident in the photos, so please zoom in. Apparently, it is missing a "clicker" that must have made it make noise. (Thank you to the Ebayer who clearly knows more about vintage toys than I do, saw this in the photos and brought it to my attention!) The heads of the little people in the car turn somewhat when the car is moved, but it's not like a battery- or gear-operated toy where they would turn consistently. They turn/move in situations where there is friction (like on a carpet or sidewalk), not on smooth surfaces.
Great piece for display for people who love toys, but it also is fully usable by children, as it has definitely stood the test of time and is solidly made.
