This impressive bronzed spelter is form France and dates from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. The piece is unsigned but is very well executed and quite lifelike. There is no apparent damage to the lion other than the minor scuffs and scratches here and there. We believe that the spelter was originally mounted on a marble base (see photos of underside). However the piece sits quite nicely on its own without marble. Dimensions: 15" wide, ...10.5" tall and 5.5" deep. (3149)
