This is a USED Ignition Contact Points Timing Gear that came off of a 1977 Yamaha XT-500 ENDURO model of motorcycle.According to the parts microfiche it will fit the following years and models:* 1976-1979 XT500 ENDURO
* 1976-1981 TT500
This part will only fit engines for these models that have a CONTACT POINTS IGNITION SYSTEM and will not work on the newer model engines that have an Electronic Ignition System.
You will want to look closely at the photos and description and mak...e sure that this is what you will want.
