Pair of Vintage JBL 8 Inch LE8 8 Ohm Speakers. Lancer 33 Circa 1962.
This auction includes one pair of JBL Lancer 33 Speakers from 1962.This Lancer 33 version has the LE8 Full-Range speaker; which had many versions. This pair has no aquaplas on the cones, the dust covers are paper felt. The lansaloy surrounds show no cracks on one speaker and very small cracks on the other speaker. Back of both cones have LE8-100 stamped on them. The grills have no rips or tears and the badges ...are on both grills. Bottom of both boxes have screw holes on all four corners which I'm guessing were for legsBoth speakers were tested and sound great. Cosmetically the cabinets are in need of new paint and some repair to the one corner and a small scrape on the front of the same enclosure. These are listed in the 1962 JBL catalog. Please review all attached photos and ask any questions.Serial number - 002220 + 002204 (see photo of back of speakers)Each JBL Lancer 33 Speaker Cabinet measures 23 1/2" Tall, 14 1/4" Wide, and 11 3/4" Deep.Each complete speaker weighs 34 lbs unpacked.
