Up for sale here is this beautiful used JAN CHY CBS Hytron 5U4G coke-bottle rectifier vacuum tube, from the 1950s and Made in USA. This was made for the US military, and as such is an extra-high-quality tube.
I tested this on my calibrated B&K 747B tube tester, and it tested at 79/73, with no shorts or grid emission, on a scale of 0-120, where 65 is minimum good.
This is a gorgeous tube, with massive ribbed black plates, a wide "D" getter with foil strip on the s...ide, a huge patch of silvering, and a rectangular mica plate at the top. This is quite a tube, and is guaranteed to work well for you. Please see my pictures for details.
