No reserve on this original 1960s/1970s vintage 1/24-scaleblue plastic-bodied Open Can Am Racer slot car with scratch-made brass chassiswith motor. This old Racer has been sitting in a smoke-free, though rather dusty, Slot Car collection along with a few hundred other slot cars and parts andpieces for many, many years and was only recently rediscovered. A sturdily-builtslot car with some good weight to it. This Racer looks good but it is definitelynot in mint condition, as it has been run in the past and has some edge wear inplaces, as you may be able to see in the accompanying photos. The car body stilllooks pretty straight with no side-curl. The rear facia is bowed inwards just abit but isn’t split or cracked while the front facia has a couple of thin cracksin it. The original vintage brass-plate scratch-built chassis is securely fittedto the car body on both sides and the track guide with both wires and bothbrushes is in place. Original wide tires are at the rear and narrower racingtires are at the front. All four of the tires show some aging but all fourstill look readily serviceable. Slotted racing wheels are in place all the wayaround and the fronts look very good while the rears both show some darkeningand oxidation. The original old slot car motor is in place and does turn but itis currently not running and no guarantees, implied, stated or otherwise, aremade on the motor. Again, this old Open Can Am Racer slot car body with chassiswith motor is definitely not mint, as very clearly noted above and as shown inthe many photos, but still looks pretty good and displays quite well. Makes avery fun addition to any Racing Car or Vintage Slot Car collection! Sold "as-is";please check out all of the photos carefully!
