An original vintage golf ball marker from the 1980s.
A distinctive and very attractive old brass stem type golf ball marker at least 30+ years old
This very rare commemorative ball marker shows the wonderful gold foil effect on ball markers that could only be achieved using the hot foil process - a complicated and time consuming process requiring specialist machinery. This process was largely abandoned after the year 2000 when computer printer generated logos place...d under a resin dome became the norm for manufacturing golf ball markers- as they were easier and cheaper to produce. However, the modern computer printed logos can never achieve the wonderful gold silver and metal foil finishes that was made possible by using the hot foil process.
This type of ball marker is proving very popular with collectors of golf memorabilia today
