This beautiful, Norwegian, modernist brooch is made ofsterling silver and enamel. It bears themark of the noted silversmith Albert Scharning. This one dates to circa the1950’s.It measures 5cms (2”)long by 2.2cms(7/8”) and weighs 8.6 grams.The design is wonderful – two beautifully intertwinedelements, enamelled in a lovely ice blue. One curving element has linedetailing beneath the enamel, tapering to the end. Rising from it is anothercurving piece with fin...e texturing , finished with a line of gold washed dots.The back is richlygold washed and there is an old style c clip, It is inscribed A Sch Norway Sterling 925S.This is a very rare piece which I have never come across before.It is in excellent vintage condition and It will arrive in a gift box.
