Big bow collection for sale: Around 300 bows will be listed in the next months. The bows are part of a big violin collection of over 120 violins which were in possession of one old Gentleman over the last 35 years.
For sale is a very beautiful and interesting violin bow of for me unknown origin. In the photos you can see that the bow needs some work. It needs new pearl, new hairs etc. as shown on the pictures, which is why I am selling it as a restoration object.
The stick i...s made of very beautiful flamed pernambuco, it is round and has a reddish brown color, there are no cracks or repairs on the stick! The frog and the screw are mounted in silver and it is made in Vuillaume style. The frog has a crack and the nut is missing (therefore I have fixed the frog with clear tape), the screw is crooked also a bit. The head plate has an attached nose and a small crack.
The stick itself is very hard, and has minimum slight curve to the right side. The weight (in current state) is 55 grams and the total lengths is 74, 7 cm.
