Vintage Rotel RX-503 Stereo Receiver Amplifier, Works But Needs Attention. The pots are scratchy and need cleaning. The caps probably need to be looked at: either buy it for parts or have a tech spend a few hours bringing it back to spec. The lights work (see last photo) and the tuner works great with a powered antenna in my basement. Has deep bass and crisp clear highs. As you can see there is some damage to the left front corner. She definitely took a tumble. One adult owner, has been... in storage these last 20 years. I believe my asking price is fair, considering this receiver’s condition.Being sold “AS IS” - for parts or for professional servicing ONLY. I am NOT certified by Rotel to fix their vintage stereos, and if I was going to keep this, that is the FIRST THING I'd have done to this: I'd take it to a qualified technician to have the pots cleaned, and whatever else it requires to be "brought back to spec". Buyer pays actual shipping fees, REGARDLESS. Please do not purchase if ANY of this is a problem for you. These were made in Japan (MIJ) beginning in 1977. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail in a 20x22x10 box weighing less than 30 lbs. This thing weighs a ton (23 lbs. without packaging). Even with it’s scratchy pots you can hear the quality coming through the speakers. These BURY your average Sony receiver or box store Chinese crap. I’d keep it but I just have too much vintage gear laying around in need of work. And I need a 15 ips 1/4” reel to reel.
