Up for sale is a Zeiss  Phase-Contrast  diaphragm insert (Zeiss 47 20 720) for use with the Type II C vertical Illuminator.  This is compatible with the Universal and Ultraphot IIIB.  With the vertical illumination , the phase -contrast techniques is practical only for specularly reflecting and flat polished specimens because, the annular diaphragms, must be suitably imaged in the objective pupil. As shown in the photos,   the phase contrast rings look in excel...lent condition.  This insert shows the pinhole diaphragms H2, H2.5, Ph100, Ph40, and Ph16 .  This is one of the most rare Zeiss accessories that I have come across. Don't miss this one.
