This is a lightning rod topper, the vernacular for these was Little Joe, this one is of the JFG brand. These are hard to find. I can say that because back in the day when these thing were plentiful, this one was not. It's smaller than your typical ball and so it sets up on top like an accent. I've had this for forty years, and from the looks of it, it has never done weather, roof duty. It measures 4 inches high by 3 1/2 inches wide, it does not come with e...nd caps.
