PRESENTING a Vintage J. Chein & Co. RIDE A ROCKET Tin Windup Toy Mechanical Carnival Circus Ride
Here's a nice original vintage J. Chein & Co. RIDE A ROCKET Carnival Circus Ride Windup Toy. This is the Chein's earlier original 1950s version of this toy, with fantastic highly detailed Tin Litho graphics & double riders on the larger rockets.The Graphics are Bright and Colorful, overall good to very good condition, minor paint loss on bottom edge &... small dent on bottom, can easily be re-shaped. One rocket is missing its propeller, another rocket has one end of propeller clipped off. See pics.
It almost works when wound, but maybe wind-up spring motor needs cleaning and lube, as it only spins when you help it along by turning key to help spin it. (once it gets going, it spins fast & rockets fly high, for a short bit). So selling as-is. It stands 18" Tall, 11" diameter.
