Vintage DBX Model 163 compressor/limiter with wood side panels with Australian power plug. Original 1-slider, adjustable OverEasy compressor/limiter with 12 LED displaying instantaneous gain from -2 to -30dB. Please note, this is NOT the 163X! This is the earlier version, 163.
Variable compression from +4dB to -36dB. Fixed switched levels +4dB/ -10dB and adjustable variable level (adjustable by screwdriver) from -20dB to +10dB at the back of the device.
Looks great, in excellent ...condition. Incredible on bass and electric guitar and surprisingly very nice on vocals; warm, soft, and grainy; classic DBX sound.
Please note that this is the wood side panel model which is the tabletop version. If you are after rack-mount equipment, the 163 has an accessory RM-18-1 rack-mount kit for one, that you will need to source yourself as I don't have.
This is vintage audio equipment - production of DBX compressor/limiters stopped a long time ago due to buyout of a Chinese company. Rare and hard to find - they don't make 'em like this anymore!

Returns and refunds will only be accepted if we significantly misrepresent an item. Some of the items we sell are new and some very old. Of course, any old items, antique, vintage or just, well, old have obviously had a previous owner and so items will have some minor or light wear. Any major flaws and damages, for example, missing parts, chips or cracks, will be clearly disclosed in the item description.
Delivery Time
Orders will be packed and ready for shipment 1 - 3 days after receipt of payment. Please note that items will only be dispatched upon recieving full payment.
International Shipping
For purchases outside of Australia, your shipping will be calculated based on location at a fee listed between the lowest and highest amount quoted in the listing. The buyer is responsible for any custom taxes that may be incurred.
