ANTONIO PINEDA VINTAGE MEXICAN STERLING SILVER MODERNIST BRACELET ABSTRACT TAXCO
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:768156 |
This FABULOUS VINTAGE TAXCO MEXICAN SILVER BRACELET by renowned artist and silversmith ANTONIO PINEDA has Mid-Century Modern ABSTRACT DESIGN with different pierced work designs on both inside and outside. This is an interesting and unusual Modernist design for Antonio, who earlier worked for William Spratling. Bracelet weighs an impressive 126.6 grams and measures approximately 7” in ...length inside dimension and 1 1/8” in width. It is marked on the inside with hallmark ANTONIO TAXCO in a crown, eagle assay mark with number 218, and TAXCO with a 3 digit design number I cannot quite decipher but I believe begins with a 4. Overall in GOOD vintage condition with minor wear due to normal use including scratches, tiny dent on next to last plaque inside (hardly noticeable), and safety chain link is askew but could be secured. This is how I acquired it and II have left the original patina for you to clean as desired. A WONDERFUL and rare addition to any Vintage Mexican Artisan Silver Jewelry collection!
