I offer for sale in my shop a wonderful vintage large egg yoke butterscotch amber with a silver frame surrounding the brooch or Pin. The brooch measures 2 inches by 1.55 inches: Weight is 22 Grams. There are no markings that we see but we acid tested this for silver. Overall, this unique brooch is in excellent vintage condition, no cracks, chips or repairs. The underside of the back of the stone has two pin holes which tells me that it was probably used in another piece of ...jewelry prior to it being installed in the silver bezel. The pin holes do not penetrate through the front of the stone. Therefore the pin holes on the back side does not distract from the beauty of the stone. I have tested the amber stone with a black light. When testing authentic amber the stone will glow. This stone is no exception. The picture with the black light makes the stone look like a glowing egg yoke. Please see last picture for the black light illustration. If you have questions, please let me know.
