In cases where there can be no reasonable doubt that the husband will eventually be interred in the same grave the wife of an enlisted man, if he be a veteran of the Civil War, may be interred in a national cemetery prior to the death of the husband, and then only after the authority of the Quartermaster General has been first obtained." On the back side of the first blank page is this inscription: "Annapolis, Md. National Cemetery, public property, received May 29, 1911." A few other places in the book have a check mark here or there in pencil, but no other writing. Let the pictures show you the condition of the book. This book is over 100 years old, so it shows its age, however all pages are well bound and clearly read.
This is a book that is very rarely found and relates to the interesting subject of the regulations governing National Military Cemeteries.
This book is 5" X 7 3/8" and has 58 numbered pages in addition to the inserted changes in the regulations that were added over the years.
