Ralph Hodgdon has brought us so many of these wonderful color and cut books of famous movies and the stars that were in them. His research of the costumes was extensive and his art shows his knowledge through the intricate detailing of each and every costume he gave us. All of these books are highly collectable for those of us who love paper dolls and Mr. Hodgdon's work!!! The original books had cardstock covers so if someone is selling one with a paper cover, it's not an o...riginal. I really wish that I were a professional colorist when I see things like this. I've been collecting his work for many years and I'll be selling them gradually.It is difficult to say that this is an original book from Ralph Hodgdon even though that's how the seller advertised it. It's stapled from the top and staple areas show on the left had side of the pages. If it IS a copy, it's a good one and has the cardstock covers and is complete. The "Marilyn Monroe" book is rare and I haven't seen one in a couple of years. It has the one doll and many of the costumes worn by Monroe in some of her famous movie that you'll recognize. This book is highly collectible for fans of Marilyn Monroe and Ralph Hodgdon's art!!! The entire book is not shown in the photos.Please see photos for content and condition. All of the paper dolls that I offer are from estates, other homes or purchased here on eBay. I don't know the previous storage history. My collection is kept in a smoke/pet free area of my home with a dehumidifier running 24/7. I have a poor sense of smell at my age and am unable to detect odors. People smoked way back when, so that could linger and I would not be aware of it. I try and list all flaws for the paper doll sets that I sell.
