Original Description:
This is an antique 4/4 size violin that I acquired from an estate in upstate New York.
This violin is a Jacobus Stainer.  It has a flame finish with a lovely patina and a tiger maple back.
The violin sounds beautiful when played.  It comes complete with two bows, a case with a key and some accesories which I have shown in my pictures.  The case is fairly new.
The violin measures 23 3/4 inches long, 8 inches across the widest point and is 2 1/2 inches thick.
I...t has one crack on the top that extends from the F hole to under the chin rest.  The crack does not seem to affect the sound at all.
Please look at all my photos as they show the condition of this nice violin.  I have shown in my pictures the printing inside as well as the "STAINER" on the back.
