This is a charming Helvetia watch. It has an in-house movement as most of them do. In this case, the Helvetia 830 with an unusual design. One of the most underestimated brands out there must be Helvetia. They have some very nice in-house movements. General Watch Company first created Omega and some years later introduced Omega.
This Helvetia is looking rough and hardly ticking, but I see some potential. The ratchet wheel, the crown wheel, and the click are “hidden” underneath an extra cover. This movement also has an intermediate wheel between the 4th wheel and the sweep second pinion.
Always fascinating to see something that like most movements and it keeps it interesting.
The watch is from the mid-1950s.
