Vintage 1950's Dealer display of 12 SHYSTER spinners 1/8 oz, Yellow w/Black spots. They come in the original shipping box that has the label on the end. These were made in U.S.A. by the Glen L. Evans Co. in Caldwell Idaho, (note: No zip code in the address.) These feature the straight line hitch which further determines the date since they later changed to an offset ling hitch. I first used these as a young boy in the late 50's, buying them 1 or 2 at a time from our little ...country store. That was all I could afford at that time. I think they were $0.50 or $0.75 at that time. They were hot in our small river for small mouths especially and every kid wanted one. I remember letting a friend borrow one and he said he broke it off. Lesson learned. I think the came in Yellow and White at that time with more colors added later.
