Vintage Cambridge GlassRose Lady Flower Frog Clear Glass Circa 1927 For consideration is thisvintage clear glass flower frog made by Cambridge Glass. She is called “RoseLady” and was the very first figural frog produced by Cambridge. She measures 8½inches tall and the base measures 3 7/8 inches in diameter. The frog base has10 holes. There are no nicks, chips, cracks, repairs or discoloration notedalthough she has a number of bubbles (see photos). This is in excellent vintagecondi...tion. Buyer will pay Priority shipping on a 3 pound box. Thank you forlooking! NOTE: "Rose Lady" was the very firstfigural frog produced by Cambridge. The patent for this piece was granted in1927, (October 18, 1927 under patent number 1, 645, 577), although it is possiblethat the piece was actually produced earlier than that. There are two differentbases that this figure is found on. Eventually, Cambridge modified the mould toproduce a round base. With the round base, the figure only stands 8½ inchestall (including the base). The lady appears to be holding an armful of roses, hence the name "Rose Lady". This flower frog was never reproduced, and was discontinued sometime in the 1930's.
