Vintage Plastic WB Speedy Gonzales Dakin Toy wt Moveable Arms & Head, Hong Kong, 1970.A nice vintage Warner Brothers plastic toy of Speedy Gonzales, the popular mouse cartoon character, with green shirt, light browntrousers, red kerchief and large yellow Mexican hat, made in Hong Kong for the Dakin Co. in the 1970s. The character waslargely designed by Friz Freling and included in the Sylvesterthe Cat cartoon series. R. Dakin & Co. made these poseable figures of many popular cartoon c...haracters from the 1960’s and 70’s including Popeye, Goofy, PinkPanther, Flintstones and many others.The figure has a moveable head, arms and legs, and stands7 inches tall by 4.5 wide and 3.5 inches deep including the tail. It is in very good to excellent condition with some playwear, general marks on the clothes and minor damage to the hat rim. There is an original Dakin label attached to the sidemarked “R. Dakin & Company. Copyright Warner Bros. Inc. 1970 Product of Hong Kong” and the figure is alsomarked under the feet with “R. Vintage Plastic WB Speedy Gonzales Dakin Toy wt Moveable
Arms & Head, Hong Kong, 1970.
A nice vintage Warner Brothers plastic toy of Speedy Gonzales,
the popular mouse cartoon character, with green shirt, light brown
trousers, red kerchief and large yellow Mexican hat, made in
Hong Kong for the Dakin Co. in the 1970s. The character was
largely designed by Friz Freling and included in the Sylvester
the Cat cartoon series. R. Dakin & Co. made these
poseable figures of many popular cartoon characters
from the 1960’s and 70’s including Popeye, Goofy, Pink
Panther, Flintstones and many others.
The figure has a moveable head, arms and legs, and stands
7 inches tall by 4.5 wide and 3.5 inches deep including the tail.
It is in very good to excellent condition with some playwear,
general marks on the clothes and minor damage to the hat
rim. There is an original Dakin label attached to the side
marked “R. Dakin & Company. Copyright Warner Bros.
Inc. 1970 Product of Hong Kong” and the figure is also
marked under the feet with “R. Dakin & Co.” and
“Product of Hong Kong”.
