Here we have a Vintage 'Manufacturer Made', Woodworker's Panel Marking Gauge Gage, Layout Tool, 20"L. There is a double 'V' stamped logo on the top of the slide but I'm not sure if this is a manufactures mark. However, I'm fairly certain that this was made by a Major Manf. since on side of the beam it is precisely calibrated out in 1/8" increments to 19", and the numbering is the early font type seen on late 1800's to early 1900's era rulers. Not sure of the wood species.&n...bsp; The slide moves smoothly and has an internal protective metal strip for the nice brass locking thumbscrew.
