You just don't see many of these super rare color sets done by Ralph Hodgdon come up for sale very often. I don't know why since there should be many of them out there somewhere. These are the same sets that the artist was selling at the time and is signed/dated on the back of the first sheet and went from artist's hands to the collector that purchased them, either by mail or in person. The printer that Mr. Hodgdon used was truly amazing. The colors look so vivid afte...r all of these years, the costumes look hand painted. I actually had to feel the page to make sure that they aren'tt!!! My photos don't do these sets justice. These come on a good quality paper, not cardstock and are letter sized. I did notice that the paper grade varied with the years that the sets were printed. I will not make any copies of these original sets that I'm offering and I only have one of each set. This is a wonderful Ralph Hodgdon and movie star collectable!!!"Gypsy Rose Lee" is originally from 19. Natalie Wood played the famous burlesque queen in the movie "Gypsy". There is one doll and 10 gorgeous costumes from Lee's stage and film career. It's a 2 sheet set. The set is how I received it and will come to you in the same page protectors. All of the paper dolls that I offer are from estates, other homes or purchased here on eBay. I don't know the previous storage history. My collection is kept in a smoke/pet free area of my home with a dehumidifier running 24/7. I have a poor sense of smell at my age and am unable to detect odors. People smoked way back when, so that could linger and I would not be aware of it. I try and list all flaws for the paper doll sets that I sell.
