This is an incredible find.. It is absolutely pristeen and will add class to ANY home. If you are looking for Quality, you found it. Very heavy and made to last. This is a vintage item that has never been used and comes with orig hardware, box, and inserts.
The knocker was made by renowned Virginia Metalcrafters which for a period was commissioned to reproduce historic Williamsburg architectural ornaments. I am not sure if this is a Williamsburg reproduction, but t...he back of the knocker includes the VM stamp, some model numbers and another symbol that looks similar to a South Carolina palmetto tree logo. Unfortunately, Virginia Metalcrafters is no longer in business and their products are highly coveted today.
