Up for bids is a vintage Stanley Bedrock no. 603 smoothing plane. The tool has two patent dates under the brass adjustment wheel....April 2, 1895 and April 19, 1910. "No. 603" can be seen in front of the front knob and "Bedrock" behind the front knob. The Stanley cutting iron has a 1892 patent date. The plane is in excellent condition with the exception of cracks that have been repaired with glue in the front knob at the base of the knob and the fact that a previous owner drilled f...our holes on one side of the plane. The rear tote (handle) is without cracks or chips. Length is approximately 9 1/8 inches....width is approximately 2 1/8 inches. There is no pitting to speak of on the tool.
