This is for a stunning antique French silver pocket watch chatelaine clip from the 1830s. You will look a long time to time to find engraving as good as you find on this, it is exceptional. The clip has three different scenes joined with hinges and each one finely engraved and highlighted in gold. The large top one shows a young couple, meeting on a bridge, the next one is a deer and the last is a dog. It has an ornate mount on the top and a long hinged clip at the back for tucking int...o a belt or pocket. The silver is clearly marked with early French silver marks along with the Bigorne insect stamps that were introduced in 1835. It is in pristine condition with no damage and no wear to the engravings, there are no dents or repairs and it as good as you will find. I really cant stress what a nice piece this is. It measures 35mm (1.3") across and stands 113mm (4.5") long.
