This was my Christmas present from my boyfriend in 1974. My birthday is in July, and he told me it was a ruby. I have not taken it to be verified, so I cannot swear to that. It also has two small what I presume are diamond chips, but they are so tiny it's hard to even see them in the photographs. I cannot for the life of me decipher the inscriptions on the inside. The ring doesn't tarnish, and my boyfriend knew I didn't care for gold-colored jewelry, so it may actually be white gold. I...t's still a very pretty ring.
