Antique Sterling Silver Communion Chalice and Paten Set, 1829 London. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS First Class Package.Fabulous pair of communion vessels used in the early part of the 19th century.From the pictures you see the chalice with gold wash interior and the stand where the waifer would sit. Both hallmarked for London 1829 by the silversmith Robert Hennell 11. The marks on the paten have worn almost away but can clearly see the RH and lion passat for sterling.Both weigh... approximately 100 grams. The chalice is approximately 3 1/2 inches tall by approximately 2 inches wide.The paten is approximately 3 inches wide and stands approximately 1 inch high.The chalice has a couple of dents to the left of the leopard on a crown.A lovely engraving of the leopard and crown at the underfoot of the paten.Not sure the significance of this.
