Description: A splendid Antique English Georgian George II solid sterling silver toddy ladle. The toddy ladle has a lovely embossed fruit, floral and scroll decorated bowl with a fine turned wooden handle. The silver bowl is very well hallmarked with a full set of English solid sterling silver hallmarks which are normally rubbed or missing. The underneath of the silver bowl is engraved with some initials but does not have any inscriptions. An outstanding example from the King Geor...ge II era and is off 278 years old. A very fine example in superb clean condition which is ready to be added to your collection.
Maker & Date Hallmark: Maker William Coles. Date hallmark 1741 and assay mark London.
Measurements: Length 35 cm.
Condition: Excellent clean condition with no damage, dents, dings, holes, splits, knocks or repairs. The wooden handle is in excellent condition with no damage. The hallmarks to the interior of the bowl are wonderful and very visible. Overall a quality George II toddy ladle in fabulous condition.
