I bought this rifle during my BB gun collecting days over 40 years ago. This version actually shoots 22 caliber pellets. I shot it several times today with only two pumps and it shoots very strong. It is in fantastic condition with no dents or scratches. If you look closely on the right side of the wood stock, just above the trigger, there is an area that has been repaired. Since the rifle is in such wonderful condition, my guess it was a defect in the wood when manufactured and ...then repaired. But it certainly doesn’t detract from it’s original condition and beauty.
