This is a beautiful rare Swiss Zenith Le Locle pendulum clock with shelf bought new in Switzerland in 1951 by my Mother. It is black lacquered wood with gold painted trim and floral details. The clock can stand byself on mantel or table or on the wall on the shelf. The curved glass front is in perfect condition as are the two side glass inserts with a view into the clock mechanics. There is chipped paint on edges, balls on top of clock and bottom of shelf, and some cracks in paint (see... photos). On the back are stamped the words Zenith Le Locle Swiss Made. The clock itself I believe may have been overwound but in the hands of a good clock restorer this vintage clock could be renewed to its original state. Pendulum and key in good condition. Zenith (begun in the 1800's) is one of the best clock makers in Switzerland from the town Le Locle. The clock is 20" tall x 4 1/2" wide and the shelf is 7 1/2" tall x 5" wide. If I wasn't downsizing I would keep and restore this beautifully made clock!
