This is an original pattern 1827 sword.It was sent to the Prince Edward Island Volunteers in canada, It is marked V PEI .The rack number is 28.The maker is Robert Mole from Birmingham, england .it is in good condition, the shark/fish skin handle is excellent, the blade is straight , the finish is turning gray with spots on the blade.there is no scabbard.the PEI-volunteers where created in 1780 when the first militia act was passed.This is a very nice part of Canadian history.
