The name of this super dress is . . . the “Souper Dress!” The artist Andy Warhol ate Campbell’s Soup every day for twenty years and loved it so much that he used its image in his art throughout the 1960s. Around the same time, clothing made from a paper-like material called cellulose became a popular fashion trend for women. This dress doubled as an advertisement for Campbell’s Soup.shoulder to hem : 3...8”underarm to underarm x chest: 18”waist:18”Bottom x :24” ( taken flat ) *label intact inside back neck
This dress has some wear under both arms 9 about 1/2-3/4' in both arms.. may be repairable. By simply sewing the seam !!! One small surface line on front right shoulder that is NOT all the way through..surface only and about 1/2 “ .
Some age dimming of the white.. it has been hanging in garment bag out of the light for decades ... and tiny bit of “ foxing” .. stored hanging for decades .covered by garment bag not exposed to light .
