This is a nice vintage manual wind watch from Elgin. Theserial number of X677351 dates the watch to 1940. The 21 jewel, caliber 559movement runs great and keeps time. The case is 14K rose gold filled. The dialhas a nice copper color, and the crystal is in very good condition. The watchalso has a really nice new leather band.I like to put as much info in my auctions as I can. That beingsaid, there is a small hole on the back. I filled the hole with hot glue on theinside and super glue o...n the outside. I showed images of it in my last photo.The close-up photos make it look a lot worse than it is. The repair I made isfine for keeping moisture out, but you could always remove the hot glue andhave the hole repaired with solder if you like.The case is 21mm wide not counting the crown, and 41mm longincluding the lugs.
