Vintage Cousances #20 le CreusetWe are pleased to be able to offer for your consideration a COUSANCES Le Creuset vintage poppy lidded pot. Vintage French Cousances (Le Creuset) Pan / Saucepan from the "Belle Epoque Grey Caviar Collection", made in the 1960's and in good condition, there is a chip on the rim of the pan which cannot be seen when it is lidded it is very small near the handle. The lid has three chips on it but because the metal underneath is gray they’re not very visible.... There is a little paint loss on the stem of the flower on the lid. Other than this, this piece is in excellent condition and is ready for another home and a lot of future use. Le Creuset and COUSANCES are the same company. The name Le Creuset is much more popular in the United States and COUSANCES which is a much older company and much more well known in France. The two companies merged in the mid-1900s but the company kept both names because of the local and international reputation. Now just the name le Creuset has been kept the name was dropped of COUSENCES in the mid-1980s.
