This was my Grandmother's shawl that has been in our family all this time. It is embroidered with yellow and orange roses and extravagant fringe. It is in absolutely excellent condition.The fringe is not knotted. It is just hard to get it all to lay out flat. The main body measures 42" by 45" and the fringe 21". I believe it is heavy weight silk. We think it was made around 1910--that was when she lived in Venice where my Father was born. We showed it to an expert who verified dating. ...
