VERY RARE antique mid-Victorian Artists pastel colour boxREEVES & SONS circa 1850's
Hi and welcome to my listing for this interesting and RARE pastel colour box by REEVES & Sons
My research shows that the pastel box would have been manufactured during the period 1830 to 1890 its at this point that the name and logo changed reflecting the companies limited status
The box itself measures about 6.5 inches long X 3.75 inches wide and is about 1 inch deep. It is has a wonde...rful colour and patina displaying loads of character. The box is in very good original condition the odd little dint on the box and i don't think the green felt pad on the bottom is original but a great item never-the-less.
The paint box comes with its contents which are Reeves colour pastels in various colours
Hopefully an interesting little set for a collector - worthy of further research. A rare piece
