This item boasts a rare repose design and dates from the Mid 19th Century. It is in the style knows as Rococo or French Antique and it was very popular before and around the civil war period. The repose design is composed of flowers, sea scrolls and acanthus leaves. The dish has six lion paw feet crowned with scrolled scallop shells. There are two pair of knife holders.
