1915 PANAMA PACIFIC PPIE Pres TAFT Groundbreaking Shovel STERLING SOUVENIR SPOONI am selling a large collection of World’s Fair and Exposition so please watch my auctions every week. This auction is for a very nice sterling souvenir spoon from the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco, CA. The spoon is shaped like the shovel used by President William Howard Taft during the groundbreaking ceremony for the PPIE in October 1911. The handle is shaped like a ...shovel handle with e detailed grip and the bowl has commemorative text from the event. The spoon is just over 4” long and weighs 9.9 grams (0.31 Troy Oz).
