This extra large lovely lady looks great for her age. The really big head vases are more difficult to find. She is in great vintage condition with the normal crazing and paint discoloration. She is made by Parma and her #is printed on the bottom along with the original foil sticker. She is much bigger and heavier than your standard head vase, so shipping may seem high.
I am selling a large collection of antiques as I have recently retired and do not h...ave space. I do not claim to be an expert, but can vouch for the authenticity of what I list as it is from my own collection. The head vases were, as most of you know, originally used as inexpensive vases for flower shops popular in the 50's. Since they are not of high quality, many of them are not perfect and now they are about 70 years old, so there is normal crazing and discoloration going on. If there is anything that is glaring to me, I will be sure to mention what my eye can see because I do want the buyer to be pleased. It has been difficult to list the head vases because when I started the collection there was no eBay, and we found them in antique stores for a lot more $ than they seem to be worth today after eBay made such a quantity available. I bought many that were chipped or missing a finger, but I won't be listing those. I am only listing what is in good vintage condition as I do not want anyone to be disappointed and returns are too expensive. The eBay price is so far off the list prices from my old Kathleen Cole Value books that I am not sure of value, so make me an offer.
