More than 275 straps sold with 100% positive feeback. For sale are high quality reproductions of the most common straps used by paratroopers on D-Day (GI Cot straps). They were used to secure knives and other gear to themselves during the jump.This sale is for 1 white leg strap made of double 100% cotton webbing sewn to an ORIGINAL black buckle, rivitted with an original black rivet, and "end capped" with and original ball tip. Straps are 20" long. Straps can be made longer at a small ...additional cost. Prior to d-day many american paratroopers were not issued "standard" general purpose straps so they scrounged straps from whereever they could find them. Most commonly paratroopers took the khaki/white straps that were attached to their GI cots.
