Up for Buy it Now or Best Offer (really! make an offer!), a vintage, classic green and white 1960s or 1970s Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) 2-sided Bus Stop sign for Route 63, 63rd Street, on Chicago's south side. Route 63 operates between Stony Island (1600 E.) and Narragansett (6400 W.) with extended rush hour service and 24 hour. Metal sign measures 18" x 24" Green top on one side is reflective, but the rest of the sign does not have reflective properties. The 63 bus runs through so...uth side neighborhoods including Englewood and Woodlawn. Sign marked TP2076 on both sides, just above the travel information phone number. Could indicate the sign is from 1976, but unclear.
For conditions, please review photos closely using the magnifying tool or zoom in. Used with normal wear relative to age and intended use, outdoors in the elements, in Chicago. Scratches, dirt, small spots, and some rust-toned staining. Slightly bent, but hardly noticeable in my opinion (see last photo). I haven't cleaned it. Seems to have been mounted on a pole down the center, with holes in the middle at the top and bottom. Displays quite well. If you have questions or would like to see more photos, please ask!
