[FRENCH VASE after the CHINESE] Vase, s.d.s.l., circa France (likely Paris), early 18th century with drip technique in imitation of Tang Dynasty ceramics (AD618-907). 12.5 cm h x 9.5 cm top diameter. The vase has similarities in composition to two much larger marble vases completed by François Girardon (1628-1715) in 1683 for the gardens at Versailles. Condition: small chips to upper rim surface as depicted, but generally very good with bright glazes. An extremely rare (museum worthy) exemplar. May be returned for any reason.
