For your consideration is a vintage beaded Native American Navajo Indian whimsy. The whimsy features a beaded American Flag on leather which may be deerskin. Hanging from the bottom of the American Flag pendant is a Navajo couple. The couple is attached side-by-side at the shoulders and the dress worn by the Navajo woman is belted with a small piece of metal. The piece measures approx. 2-3/4 inches in height by 1-1/4 inches at its widest points. I am unsur...e of the original purpose of this piece...perhaps it was to be worn as a badge or pendant to commemorate an event or simply may be a piece of tourist art.
