This is a very good example of a good quality antique solid silver Half Hunter Pocket Watch by S Smith & Son, 9 Strand London, Watchmakers to the Admiralty, that appears on the pure white Face that has black Arabic Numerals and blued metal hands, there is a Seconds Sub Dial at VI, it is free from Hairline CracksThe solid 925 silver Watch Case, has black enamel Arabic Numerals to the Front Cover, is free from dents, it measures 1.9 inches diameter, excluding the Loo...p, and is in good condition, depress the Crown, and the front Cover springs open correctly to reveal the Face, there are well rubbed 925 silver Hallmarks for London import 1912, and to the Back is a very well rubbed Coat of Arms, Crown wound, the Hands are set by extending the Lever at 4, and then set the Hands using the crown, the 15 jewelled lever movement is signed S Smith & Son, Watchmakers to the Admiralty, and serial numbered 2552210 it winds well, runs strongly and keeps time.This lovely old timepiece comes with a silver double Albert Chain each leg of the Chain is 7 inches long approx, and each link of the graduated Chain is Hallmarked, as is the T Bar and ClaspA good quality 100+ years old Pocket Watch in good order, ready for daily use
