The plane has light rubs and blemishes on the tote and knob. There are crudely and lightly etched initials on the tote from a previous owner, otherwise the plane is in very good usable condition.It has BAILEY No 3 embossed on the toe and MADE IN U.S.A is embossed behind the frog adjustment screw. STANLEY MADE IN USA (in a notched logo), is stamped on the cutter and STANLEY is stamped on the lateral adjusting lever. The cutter measures 1 3/4" wide and is in very good condition. Both knob and tote are made of rosewood. The piece looks to be a Type 19, Mfg 1948-1961. A superb plane for jointer work with short pieces of stock and is perfect for small projects.
