This lead item was made by German manufacturer Georg Heyde sometime between 1872 and 1945Just look at the detail of the modelling! It knocks English manufacturers into the long grass, in my opinionEnglish manufacturers just didn't have the skill to design or produce such a delicate itemThis is why Heyde pieces much sought after and hugely collectableThis piece is complete I think - I found some of these pieces in France and I have kept a couple to display with my miniature hunt pieces and ...Lilliput farm
The stand at the base has both feet and stands well
The paintwork is good too - it could have been retouched over the years, it's impossible to tell
This piece is smaller than the Britains 1:32 scale in fact it would be ideal to display with the Heyde smaller jewel models or right at the back of a diorama to give a sense of scaleLength is approx 62mm or just 2 1/2 inches
